A DACO — Decentralized Autonomous Cooperative Organization — is the economic entity you steward inside the C3 Alliance. Think of it as your cooperative business unit: it holds your identity, tracks your Patronage, and earns on your behalf.
You don't choose a single Faction — you earn across all three simultaneously. Your faction role is determined at the IO layer by what you do on each Impact Offer. The same member earns PDT when delivering work, PCT when consuming commons goods or services, and PMT when performing community outreach. All PPT converts to COMM or burns for governance influence at equal value regardless of which faction earned it.
10,000 PDT = 10,000 PCT = 10,000 PMT. All PPT is equal. Faction simply identifies the role performed on a given IO — not your identity or rank inside the cooperative.
When you complete a work IO — delivering goods, code, content, skilled services, or any tangible output — you earn PDT. This is the Patronage of making. Any member taking a producer role on an IO earns as Union.
When you use commons goods or services procured through the cooperative — sourcing, consuming, or coordinating resources — you earn PCT. This is the Patronage of stewarding flow. Any member procuring on an IO earns as Guild.
When you perform community services — mentoring guests, onboarding members, expanding the network, or growing the Commons — you earn PMT. This is the Patronage of catalyzing. Any member promoting on an IO earns as Syndicate.
What happens to your PPT?
All earned PPT — regardless of faction — converts to COMM (your wealth accumulation token) or can be burned for governance influence inside your DACO. Patronage is the heartbeat of the cooperative. Everything else — surplus, treasury, sovereignty — flows from it.
Every guest in the C3 Alliance is assigned a C3-Buddy — a Syndicate member or Pontisto-Mayor who mentors you through your 90-day trial. They are your first point of contact, your guide into the Commons, and your sponsor inside the cooperative.
Once you mint your @G credential, a Syndicate member from the C3 Alliance will be personally assigned to welcome you, answer your questions, and walk you through your first 90 days inside the Commons.
A note on responsibility: Your C3-Buddy is not just a guide — they are your sponsor. By accepting you into the trial, they personally vouch for your participation. The cooperative holds them accountable for how you engage during your 90 days. This is how trust is built inside the Commons.
